DJ Truss System
First of all, you need to create a list of lighting mechanisms you plan on attaching to your truss. Measure the dimensions of these items to calculate the minimum length measurement required.
Second, you need to calculate the total weight of the items you plan on attaching to your truss. Trusses are designed to carry a specified weight load. Exceeding this amount may cause it to collapse.
Third, purchase the appropriate clamps for your lighting equipment. Many lighting systems use specifically designed clamps to attach them to DJ trusses.
Fourth, attach the lighting equipment to the truss using your clamps. Position the lights where you would like their output to be most visible during your show. Avoid placing all of your lights in one small area of the truss, as this will create an unstable weight equilibrium on the stand.
And last turn the cranks on your truss to raise each side of your unit. Raise the truss slowly, checking that the equipment is fully secured to the metal bars. Make sure that the plugs attached to the equipment are capable of reaching an outlet or extension cord. The maximum height of the truss will be determined by this factor. Plug your equipment in and turn on the power to test the orientation of your lights. If you would like to make changes to the alignment, unplug the equipment and lower the truss. We RK are the expert in truss usage ,if you are not sure the process of building the truss systems, give us a call !
